Ritual Actions
As above
So below
As outside
So inside…
Ancient Alchemical Saying
A research project: to discover the healing potentials in ritual actions; and as a point of departure, to use the ancient Greek notions of Eros to play with the hidden inner life of the animal soul which the ancients called Psyche; to release the body’s Primal Rhythms; to ignite the imagination to play with the erotic body.
Healing the Erotic Body: the Flowers of Imagination
Ritual Actions are conducted in wild spots, outside the urban environment. Currently, we are developing research projects at Buck Lake Canada and in Platamonas Greece a small village on the Sea. The project is organised by the ROES {Flowing}, a group consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and performers located in Thessaloniki Greece. The research project was begun in 2000 and now includes people from all parts of Europe and Canada. The project is divided into 2 groups; one group works under the umbrella of Ritual Actions SoulSong and the other group under the umbrella of Ritual Actions Eros and the Healing Process.

On The Montreal River in the James Bay Frontier
Wilderness Canada is a 2 part project. The first part is called Theatre Apprentice and takes place at Buck Lake, {near to Orillia Ontario}; the second part is called Wilderness Wending and is conducted on the Montreal River in the James Bay Frontier of Northern Ontario.
Theatre Apprentice is an extension of the Soundings projects and is aimed primarily, though not exclusively, at the professional performer.
Wilderness Wending is an opportunity to leave the urban rhythms and enter into the primal rhythms of the wilderness; a time to catch one’s breath, to repose, to reconnect with soul.
